Vermont Transfer Guarantee

The Vermont Transfer Guarantee is a transfer partnership between the Community College of Vermont (CCV) and participating four-year colleges and universities.

Eligible CCV graduates are able to transfer seamlessly¡ªadmission guaranteed!

Who is Eligible?

Students graduating from CCV are guaranteed admission to corresponding bachelor’s degree programs at Champlain College. Students interested in transferring from CCV to Champlain College must:

  • Complete a qualifying associate degree at CCV having earned a minimum of 60 credits.
  • Earn a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Vermont Transfer Guarantee Details

  • Champlain College will recognize, as part of this Transfer Guarantee, transfer credits already granted by CCV for the area of study with a grade of C or higher. This includes any credits earned through the Vermont Dual Enrollment program.
  • Champlain College will also accept previous credits from AP exams, CLEP, and other exam sources that have been applied toward a program of study at CCV.

CCV students who meet these requirements will need to apply to transfer to Champlain College¡¯s on-campus programs.

The transfer guarantee agreement makes it easy for you to continue your and puts you on track to complete your bachelor¡¯s degree.? Some programs may have additional admittance requirements.?

  • Computer Science and Innovation
  • Graphic Design & Visual Communication*
  • Psychology
  • Criminology & Criminal Justice

*Those who are interested in studying Graphic Design & Visual Communication will also submit a portfolio with your application.
